This book is yet another addition to the fast enlarging collection of ‘Psychiatry made easy’ category of books. As per the publishers the contents of the book have been compiled from the notes of famous teachers and brilliant students. Salient features of various psychiatric disorders and their treatment are enumerated under bold banners and subsidiary headings. The information given is fairly up-to-date though it is strange to sec DSM-IV draft criteria for diagnosis where as the actual DSM-IV has already been in force for 2 years. However the obvious utility of the book is marred to a certain extent by innumerable spelling mistakes and typographical errors. Nevertheless medical students and general duty medical officers might find the book useful in their preparation for various examination as well as a handy quick reference in day-to-day practice.
