Bio-Targets and Drug Delivery Approaches is well written book for drug targeting strategies. Pharmaceutical companies and labs are doing extensive research to develop new and improved targeted delivery systems and are looking for biological targets for effective treatments. The book is one of the few in its field which covers most of the new drug targeting strategies. Chapters in this book have been written by contributing authors specializing in their fields.

The book has reviews and book chapters with coverage of up-to-date information on drug delivery. The topics are well planned and we can see a flow from introduction of topics to more detailed explanation of each area. It has 20 chapters, which covers the basic understanding of drug targeting to identification of bio-targets. Cell or organ based approaches for drug targeting has been explained in detail. The authors have included updated information for new targets and drug delivery strategies for various ocular disorders and novel carriers for targeted delivery of herbal medicines. For readers who are interested in drug delivery this text covers most aspects with the latest information in a single book.

The authors have kept the information in the chapters updated by including latest research work in the field and the end of each chapter contains a complete list of references. Wherever needed the authors have explained the mechanisms with good illustrations and diagrams. They also provided tables for ease of readers to go through material in organized way. Overall this book can be useful to understand, develop, and optimize drug delivery strategies. Simplified text, good illustrations, and contents of this book will not only benefit professionals and researchers but also undergraduates and graduates.
