Dear Readers,

At the outset, I wish to thank one and all for bestowing so much love and affection on me and electing me unopposed to the prestigious post of IMS President, 2017.

I am extremely happy to reach out to you all through this prestigious journal of IMS. All of us have observed that, over last many years the literature in the field of midlife health and menopausal medicine has been very sparse. But since JMH has taken shape a lot is being contributed to Indian literature, and original work of high quality is being published. It is indeed a proud achievement of IMS. and is evolving into an indexed journal of high standard, and I am sure the editors will try their best to maintain and improvise the standard further.

There is a need to generate interest in scientific research and publications in young doctors. This will enable us to attain our final aim of improving health of midlife population more efficiently. The recommendations keep changing from time to time and hence there is a need to periodically update our knowledge. This journal is doing a great job by bringing in latest updates in research.

I have begun my tenure from 17th February 2017 at Raipur, and I assure you of a very active vibrant year covering all aspects of Midlife health, meeting all objects of our trust on Educative, academic, research social; community, charitable fronts.

My theme of the year 2017 is “Menopause: Creating New Horizons For A New Beginning.”

I have many new plans and wish to have many new platforms and concepts during my year, but it will be possible only and only with your whole hearted support.

Seeking your valuable support for doing good work in my presidential year 2017-8.

I congratulate Dr. Neelam Aggarwal, Dr. Sudha Sharma, and their editorial team for putting in great efforts in bringing this issue of JMH.

Long Live IMS.
