Functional overlap of mutants that have a more oxidizing cytosol and/or mitochondrial matrix and/or peroxisome.
Mutants of known pathways involved in antioxidant defence and oxidative stress responses were analyzed in exponential (A600 = ~0.5) and stationary phase (A600 = 5–6) in the cytosol, mitochondrial matrix and peroxisome. Analysis was carried out using flow cytometry and EGSH estimated. 10,000 cells were counted in each conditions and each experiment was conducted in triplicate. Mutants with a ΔEGSH compared to wild type of 10 mV or more in A) exponential and B) stationary phase in each compartment tested are shown. Data taken Dataset S2.
