Integrated Management strategies for nematode problems in field crops
These three papers each describe case studies on how complementing management strategies can be used to reduce damage by plant-parasitic nematodes. In times of loss of soil fumigants, combinations of alternative tools need to be implemented to sustain acceptable yields. Original versions of these articles were presented at the “Faces of the Future” in Nematology symposium at the joint APS/SON meeting in San Diego, CA in 2007. Participants of this symposium were selected among early career scientists based on nomination by peers, and the decision of a committee.
