In brain areas that are implicated in impulse control and response inhibition (lateral orbitofrontal cortex [OFC], rostral cingulate zone [RCZ], amygdala, external pallidum), controls significantly increased activity in response to dopamine agonist (DA), while gamblers showed a significant DA-induced reduction of activity.
