Above all, we hope to increase general interest in, and knowledge about, metabolic bone diseases and their impact in orthopedics.

The manuscripts published in the second issue of this year Journal focus on major areas of bone metabolism and orthopedics: Severe Osteoporosis, Bone Healing, Bone Metabolism and Diabetes, Biomechanics, Periprostatic Bone Density, Bone Mineral Density in Children and Adolescents, Response to Antiresorptives, Fragility Fractures, and Paget’s Disease of Bone. This represents a miscellaneous collection of focuses in areas as of common interest between bone metabolism and orthopedic sciences. And this is the main goal of our Journal and our Society!

We’d also like to bring your attention to the CCMBM Journal Article Contest 2010, developed to honor the first Author of an original scientific work published during this year.

We are confident this service will enhance the Journal ’s overall appeal!

The aforementioned contents support the scientific relevance of our Journal, whose mission is to update our knowledge and open our minds to the important questions in the areas of bone metabolism and orthopedic sciences.

As always CCMBM takes only responsibility for the editorial contest and peer-review.
