|Cover: Tetraloops are a ubiquitous and functionally important motif in RNA. The illustration shows a Markovian map of the equilibrium conformational dynamics of the GNRA tetraloop, as elucidated from our all-atom computer simulations using a global distributed computing network. A survey of the Protein Data Bank supplements this approach, demonstrating how these loops can adopt non-native, high energy conformational states to participate in complex tertiary interactions. Folding@Home donators from around the world (high donator densities in red, low donator densities in blue) contribute valuable processor time to help us better understand biology at the molecular level.
