The Vermont Genetics Network has established a searchable online Core Facilities database to track and explore research services and technologies that are regionally accessible. This will allow researchers to find established facilities and avoid duplicating resources that are not cost effective at their own site. The Vermont Genetics Network was established in 2001 and is funded by the National Center for Research Resources (NCRR). It is part of a National Institutes of Health (NIH) initiative, called IDeA Networks of Biomedical Research Excellence (INBRE), to build biomedical research infrastructure.
