Prevalence and Associations of tcpC, a Gene Encoding a Toll/Interleukin-1 Receptor Domain-Containing Protein, among Escherichia coli Urinary Tract Infection, Skin and Soft Tissue Infection, and Commensal Isolates

Volume 48, no. 3, p. 966-968, 2010. We recently discovered that when transferring the obtained data of phylogenetic groups into the table used for statistical analysis, for some SSTI isolates, some incorrect data were transferred, leading to mistakes in the published Table Table2.2. As seen from the corrected part of Table Table22 below, the correlation of the presence of tcpC and the phylogenetic group B2 is now even more pronounced, as the tcpC gene was found only in the strains belonging to the B2 group.
