Coarse-grained model of the dynein motor head. (A) A two-bead-per-residue model of the dynein head. Each residue is represented by their Cα and Cβ atoms. (B) Effective interactions defined in the two-bead model. Yellow lines show non-covalent interactions while the black lines show covalent interactions. (C) The interaction within each head is determined by the Go-model whereby neighbouring atoms are assigned an attractive interaction while those that are far from each other are assigned a repulsive interaction.
