These booklets on breast, colorectal, lung, and prostate cancer are adapted from Cancer.Net's online Guides to Cancer. Each printed guide contains an overview; anatomic staging illustrations; and information on risk factors, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, clinical trials, adverse effects, post-treatment considerations, current research, and questions to ask the doctor. Cancer.Net's publication for older adults is adapted from the ASCO curriculum, Cancer Care in the Older Population. This booklet provides information on the physical and emotional changes that are associated with aging and cancer, and includes recommendations for coping with daily life, cancer treatment, and coexisting conditions. Cancer in Older Adults is also available online at www.cancer.net/olderadults.
ASCO's fact sheet series gives patients and their family and friends a basic introduction to 20 types of cancer. Each fact sheet includes an overview of the cancer type, an illustration of where the cancer starts, information on its treatment, terms to know, and questions to ask the doctor.
