Purchasers and venders of specially manufactured medical software should understand the inspection and cure provisions of the Uniform Commercial Code. Under the Code's terms, software may be inspected for defects prior to any final acceptance, and defects discovered during the inspection process may be cured by the vender even after rejection by the purchaser in certain circumstances.
