The past several months have been marked by a flurry of activities in the Association of Biomolecular Resource Facilities. The Research Groups have been producing manuscripts resulting from previous years’ efforts, and the Research Groups have submitted plans for this year’s studies. Having looked them over I would say we are in for some very exciting reports at our annual meeting. The annual meeting this year will be held in Tampa Bay, Florida March 31–April 3, 2007. The meeting is entitled ABRF2007: Creating the Biological Roadmap. It is being organized by Drs. Kathryn Lilley, Tom Neubert, and Andy Brooks. This exceptional group of members is assembling an outstanding program with many exciting topics and speakers. All indications suggest this will be one of our best meetings yet. On other fronts, the JBT continues to increase in both the number and quality of manuscripts published under the leadership of Dr. Gregg Fields. Also, our congratulations go out to ABRF member and past-president Dr. Mark Lively, who as our representative to FASEB was elected Vice-President of FASEB’s Science Policy Committee. This is a very important committee within FASEB, and we are fortunate to have Mark working for us on the committee. Finally, I hope you all have time to enjoy the summer and wish you well.
