The preparations for the meeting have been finalized and Jack Shively and Stan Nelson can soon relax again. Registration for attendance so far is promising a good and successful meeting once again. The exhibitor floor is sold out and some of our commercial partners actually had to be put on a waiting list. This level of interest demonstrates the importance of the active participation of our commercial partners.

We will again have four poster awardees who will present their work in an oral poster session based on a selection made by the Education Committee. The awards will again be sponsored by Amersham.

There are still some spaces available in the Satellite Meeting Tutorial, “A Field Guide to NCBI Resources” offered by the Education Committee of the ABRF and conducted by Peter Cooper, a staff scientist with the National Library of Medicine, NCBI, NIH. This meeting is held on Saturday, February 28 at the Convention Center. In order to make this tutorial available to those of you who are still undecided, we will make on-site registration available.
