Adrian Michael Easty worked as a family practitioner for 33 years. Latterly his special interest was hill and long distance walking. He was happy in his last years to have completed the 930 miles walking along the Way of St James, from Le Puy in France to Santiago de Compostella, at the end of the Spanish Camino. In 1957 he married Mary Stott, who survives him with their daughter and two sons.
Former general practitioner Swinton, Manchester (b Essex, 14 October 1931; q Manchester 1956; DRCOG, MRCGP), died from myeloid leukaemia on 13 August 2007.
