Brian Oscar Treweek Taylor

A dedicated family doctor for 34 years in Earls Colne, Essex, Brian was a founder member of the Royal College of General Practitioners. Belonging to the generation of general practitioners who developed a range of skills, he was a qualified anaesthetist, studied psychological medicine, and provided a high standard of obstetric care and minor surgery to his patients.

In the 1970s he qualified in homoeopathy and acupuncture, which he practised until the week before his death. He never lost his immense enthusiasm for conventional medicine. His passion was for truly integrated medicine, and for it to be more widely available within the NHS.

He leaves behind his wife, Pat; three children; and two grandsons.
